Smoked mackerel pate

So, here’s  one simple recipe! It is a departure from my usual plant based recipes, but it is difficult to get essential Omega 3 fat from a purely plant based diet so I do try and eat oily fish  2 or 3 times a week, and this is a simple & delicious way to do it. Oily fish such as mackerel, salmon and sardines have many health benefits. They can help to reduce inflammation in the body, and can help to lower cholesterol, blood fats and blood pressure. They are also a great source of protein, and Vitamins A, D and E.


1 small pack of smoked mackerel
3-4 tbsps natural yogurt
Juice of 1/2 lemon or more (to taste)
Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste


Blend to desired consistency & enjoy!
